I clapped my hands, about to sit back on the ground and continue reading the diary, when Noah’s phone rang again.
“Mr. Noah, I rang the doorbell, but there was no response…”
I got up, opened the floor–to–ceiling window, crept behind him, knocked him unconscious with a punch and dragged him inside to tie him up. Then, I locked the window and drew all the curtains. “Everyone’s finally here. Are you ready? The game officially begins now.”
I scooped a spoonful of boiling water and poured it over the assistant’s genitals.
“Ah!” He writhed in pain. His forehead covered in sweat.
“Those people you hired six months ago, right? A traitorous lackey like you deserves to die.”
The assistant immediately understood that I was here for revenge.
He looked up at Noah, who was gagged and bound and pleaded desperately:
“Mr. Noah, I was just following your orders! Please save me.”
I turned to Noah. “Do you think he’s innocent? Do you want to save him?”
Noah shook his head frantically, as if trying to say something.
I ripped the tape from his mouth and he blurted out despite the pain:
“It was his idea to hurt you! Olivia, I was blinded by him. You-” I slapped the tape back on.
The assistant shouted in disbelief, “He’s lying! It was his own idea! I even tried to talk him out of it! If you don’t believe me, check my phone! I have the evidence!”
I picked up his phone, unlocked it and indeed found chat records from half a year ago between him and Noah.

After forwarding them all to my parents, I took out a scalpel and stabbed it into the assistant’s mouth, twisting it around.
“Knowing the master did it yet still aiding him, what’s the point of a mouth that can’t speak the truth?”
The assistant writhed in agony, spat out a bloodied mass and lost consciousness.
Ava, who had just come to, was so terrified she wet herself.
Noah and his mother on the sofa weren’t any better.
For a moment, the living room reeked of blood, urine and feces.
Fortunately, after years in a mental hospital, I had long become desensitized. This kind of stench didn’t affect me at all.
“The next game is simple. Whatever is written in the diary, you’ll endure the corresponding punishment.”
I continued flipping through my sister’s diary and read slowly.
“Since Jack’s death, Ava claimed she would mourn him for three years and refused to leave the Carter family. She brainwashed her mother–in–law, saying my bad luck had killed Jack, making her mother–in–law despise me more and more.

Today, she slandered me at a banquet, accusing me of splashing her with water. I was almost driven out of the old mansion by my mother–in–law, but fortunately, Noah protected me.”
A glint of relief flashed in Noah’s eyes, as if he thought he wouldn’t be implicated.
But in the next moment, his expression completely darkened.
“After he applied burn ointment for me that night, he disappeared. Suddenly, there was thunder and rain and I got scared, so I went out to find him.
But I heard strange noises coming from Ava’s room. I approached the door and heard Ava say ‘Noah, you clearly love me. Your older brother is dead, can’t you divorce her and marry me? | believe Mom would agree too.
Noah’s voice struck me like lightning. He said, ‘No, Ava. I can’t let you get caught up in bad public opinion. We’re fine the way we are now. As long as you’re happy, I’m satisfied…‘
I couldn’t bear to listen anymore and covered my mouth as I fled back to my room. I’m a coward I dare not imagine what they might have done next.
I also have no right to ask, because I’m dirtier than anyone else…”
As Noah looked at me in terror, I let out a low, chilling laugh.
