Waldo asked, “You want the Yates family to participate in the Autumn Hunt under its own name?”
At that moment, Waldo’s expression darkened.

Jessica retorted, “You exaggerate. My brother and I did it for the soldiers. How is that using you?”
Waldo responded, “Jessica! I don’t want to speak any more empty words with you! If you still have me in your heart, then tell me. Can we go back to how things were before?”
Waldo took a step forward, his heart heavy. He knew even now that it might be one–sided, but he was unwilling to give up.
He had nearly died at the Stone Forest in Vrahmont Mount. At that desperate moment, Jessica appeared and saved him.
He had tasted the joy of finding hope in despair, a feeling he would never forget for the rest of his
life.
In the days that followed, while he was recovering, he kept thinking of all the injustices she had endured and how he had wronged her. Yet she still had deep feelings for him.
He had cursed himself countless times in private. He deeply regretted it all.
And now, she was telling him that it had all been in his imagination. He couldn’t bear it at all.
