Chapter 82
The armor shattered, but the person remained unharmed. It was a remarkable spear technique.
“Many thanks to General Gaibisch for sparing me!” Cail, holding his spear, bowed deeply to Garbisch with solemn respect. “Tadmit defeat, wholeheartedly.”
“Thank you for going easy on mel Garbisch returned the gesture with a smile. “This spear of mine was a gift from Prince Leon. It’s exceptionally sharp, with a power of its own. Without it, I might not have won so easily.”
Gail stepped forward d and clapped Garbisch heartily on the shoulder, his laughter even more boisterous.
He said, “General Garbisch, you have a broad heart and treat others with honesty. I like you! You are a true warrior of Novigrad!”
Andrew walked onto the stage with a warm smile: “General Garbisch wins.”
After a brief silence, thunderous applause and cheers erupted from the crowd.
Even the King couldn’t hold back his joy and exclaimed, “Good! Excellent! General Garbisch, you truly are a warrior of Novigrad! A reward: A grand
reward!”
Though Gail had lost, he wore a broad grin, showing no trace of frustration or defeat. He lost but still admired his opponent, which was rare and commendable.
The girls in the audience now looked at Garbisch with even more admiration.
They thought the rumor about his body being damaged was nonsense. It must’ve been slander spread by those jealous of the Yates family.
But after such a glorious win today, with everyone’s eyes wide open, those lies would crumble on their own.
“Thank you, Your Majesty!” Garbisch bowed, just about to step down from the platform.
Suddenly, a lively and crisp voice rang out. “Wait a moment!”
Everyone was stunned and turned to look.
A young lady in red had stepped out from beside Malik, pointing at Garbisch on stage and calling out loudly. “I challenge you!”
It was the seventh princess of Askar, Elsie Mcbride.
Malik spoke calmly. “You’re no match for him. Sit down.”
“Malik!” Elsie was clearly unwilling to accept it.
Garbisch had just defeated Gaill. Gail was her brother’s top warrior. She w
was not happy and determined to win back some honor.
“I will fight him!” She drew her Fiery Whip from her waist with a sharp whoosh.
Taking a few steps forward, she suddenly leaped into the air. The whip, infused with internal strength, glowed red–hot.
It was like a fiery streak lashed toward Garbisch on the stage.
Andrew hadn’t yet left the platform. The moment he saw the blaze coming at him, he was tepified out of his wits.
Garbisch swiftly moved to shield him, pulling him back several steps before stopping. “Mr. Cuevas, are

Andrew shook his head, still visibly shaken.

Seeing Elle about to strike again, he gave a quiet yelp and fed the staže
Garbisch didn’t retreat, only sidestepped again to dodge the attack.
“Princess Elsie, I will not fight you. Please, return and rest,” he said.
Seeing that he was only evading, Elsie grew arrogant. “Why? Afraid of losing to me? I will make you beg for mercy!”
With that, another vicious whip strike came at him.
Garbisch growled, “Princess, if you keep behaving so udely, I will have to fight back!”
“Take this!” Elsie ignored him and lashed out again. Every strike was fierce and inerciless.
Garbisch’s gaze turned colder. As she pressed forward relentlessly, showing no intention of backing down, he finally grew impatient.
With a sharp flick of his Voidsteel Spear, he didn’t hurt her, but he did split that blazing arc of fire.
