Chapter 32
“That woman?” She asked meekly.
He found it odd that she didn’t argue with him. He had expected that. “Rebecca.” He said bluntly. “Since you’re not Savonnuh, I won’t have you going by that name either. She was my fiancée for three years. It’s disrespectful to both her and you.”
She still said nothing, just stared at him with no emotion. Ignoring her behavior, he said, “You were given to me originally as a slave, and therefore, I have all legal rights to you. It doesn’t matter how you came to be my wife, it’s still a legal fact.”
“It really is fine if I continue as-.”
“No!” The word left his mouth, cutting her off. “No.” He repeated the word, softer this time.
“Okay.” That small word made him angry all over again. He knew she had fire in her, and he liked seeing it. He liked sparring with her with words, and her demeanor today was anything but fiery.
The silence seemed to last forever. Neither breaking it as they seemed to be lost in thought.
“What do you think of Eysa?” He wanted so badly to tell her his plans, to include her in them, but if she knew, then he wasn’t sure who else would find out and what that might do to their future. However, he wanted her to like this name specifically.
“I’ve never heard of them before. Is that someone I should try and contact for you?”
Frustration pooled in his gut and threatened to come forward, but he wouldn’t let it. This was too important. “No, the name Eysa. In our culture, it means rebirth.” He left out the fact that at its base, it meant salvation.
“Eysa. It’s very pretty.” She repeated the name. “I like it.” Her small shoulders lifted lightly in a shrug. Her voice was still small, and he wondered what was causing her such timidness.
“Very good.” He paused again in thought for a short time before finally saying, “I mean it, Bea, this means that in no uncertain terms are you to think of yourself as a slave. You’re not one anymore. You’re my wife.” The word wife left his mouth with finality.
Her eyes grew big once again and her small mouth turned into the shape of an O and she looked so damn cute that he couldn’t stop the flood of emotion that bloomed from within his stomach and heart. Even his wolf rumbled and stirred, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to raise and tickle the pillow beneath them.
Savonnuh was in no such way timid. She was selfish and spoiled, but she was one of the most beautiful women he’d ever met. Their coupling would have suited him just fine, but she would have been nothing more than a pretty bauble on his arm. She was flawless in nearly everything she did. Her demeanor was composed and
dignified, highlighting her station as a noble daughter of a Beta.
Yet, he never felt, for Savonnuh, the way he was feeling now, for Bea. Possessive and controlling. These things never crossed his mind, and Savonnuh wouldn’t have accepted them anyway.

Chapter 32
She is everything Savonnuh could never be. Eysa. The new name he meant to give her rang through his thoughts, and once again, in his mind, he was kissing her passionately, only to travel down and caress her breasts with those same lips. Damn that dream! His length grew until it was painful. He was thankful that the sheet and blanket were rumpled some, otherwise it would be obvious what was going on under there.
As if she could read his thoughts, she stood and grabbed the bowl while saying, “If you’re done, I’ll finish it. I didn’t have time to prepare a bowl for myself as well, but first, I want to try some of those exercises that Dr. Ashe showed me.” Then she set the bowl on the bedside table and went to grab the blanket to pull it down.
