The crowd thought, So, has he ever been with Ms. Yates?‘ Everyone’s waiting for Waldo to answer.
Waldo’s face burned with embarrassment. He thought, ‘How could something like this be brought up in front of so many people–Munciety in the palatel
‘My father can arrive at any moment. If the King sees this, my reputation in my father’s eyes would drop to nothing!
Furious and humiliated, Waldo shoved Priscilla aside. “Whatever this is, we’ll talk about it back at the manor. Now, get out of hereal”
“What did you just say?” Priscilla could hardly believe her ears. ‘He actually told me to leave!”
She had never clung to him shamelessly, and she thought, ‘How many times have I tried to walk away, only for him to beg me to stay? And now, he is telling me to go?
“Then, did you really sleep with her? Waldo, you liar! How dare you lie to me!” she shouted.
She stormed toward him, ready to grab his collar. This was how they usually behaved around each other in the manor.
Waldo had never been slapped in his life. Priscilla was the only woman who had ever slapped him across the face.
Every time, he had been so angry that he wanted to strangle her, but somehow, he also couldn’t shake the feeling that there was no one like her in the world. Though he was furious, he treasured her deeply.
But now, they were in the palace. If Priscilla slapped him here, she wouldn’t leave this place alive. He thought, ‘This foolish woman!*
So, just as Priscilla raised her hand, Waldo’s expression darkened. He suddenly swung his hand and, with a loud slap, struck her across the face.
The onlookers didn’t react, as though they were used to such scenes.
But Priscilla—her entire world shattered with that slap. It felt like the sky had come crashing down.
“You hit me!” She covered her face, her expression shifting from disbelief to despair, and then to sheer rage. Her eyes turned bloodshot.
Waldo immediately regretted it.
Priscilla had been by his side for so long that he couldn’t bear to hurt her, let alone slap her in such a humiliating way. What had just happened… he had
truly lost his temper.
But with everyone watching, he couldn’t comfort her. He could only say, “Go back for now. We’ll talk later…”
“You hit me for this woman!” The redness in Priscilla’s eyes deepened. She looked like she had completely lost control and suddenly lunged at Waldo.
“You dare hit me! You dare hit me for this woman! Waldo, I swear I’ll make you pay!” She raised her hand to grab him.
Waldo was probably just as shocked by his own slap as she was, because he didn’t react fast enough. Her hand accidentally scratched his face, leaving several bloody marks that burned with pain.
The scene descended into chaos.
The palace maids and eunuchs didn’t dare intervene, and the guards didn’t know how to handle this wild woman.
Jessica was about to stand up, but then two large hands appeared in front of her.
She looked up and saw Garbisch, looking nervous, and another man, watching her with an amused expression.
Quickly, Jessica placed her hand in Garbisch’s and let him help her to her feet.

She then bowed slightly to Leon. “Prince Leon,”
Lean looked at her, his cold demeanor hiding hawk–like eyes that radiated an intimidating aura. His lips curted in a half–smile that sent chats. spine
Jessica didn’t want to get too close to him and instinctively stepped behind Garbisch.
The scene before her was still utter chaos.
Then, a furious shout rang out, “What is going on here?”
