Chapter 186
Alle finishing the work, we adjourned the meeting and everyone was ready to go home for the New Year
Judith saw Oswaldo getting up to leave, so she quickly stood up too. As she was about to walk over, she saw him say to Lizzie next to him. “I’m heading back, want me to walk you home?”
Lizzie was no stranger to his car, she had ridden in it several times before and never thought anything was wrong
She nodded gently, “Okay”
As they were about to leave together, the door of the meeting room was opened and the person at the door hadn’t left yet.
A milky voice came from the door. “Ah, Cristofer, hi! Have you finished the meeting? Did you go find dad?”
As the sound rang out, this round head poked in from the doorway
Vivian saw everyone getting up and leaving. She came in like a little cannonball and threw herself into Lizzie’s arms, looking up at her with her rosy cheeks.
“Lizzie, come here!”
Lizzie put her hands under Vivian’s armpits and lifted her up by supporting her arms.
Vivian pecked Lizzie on the cheek.
“Lizzie, my dad is coming home too, let’s go together, okay?”

Lize looked at Vivian’s cute and soft appearance. I kissed her soft check and said. “Okay, let’s go together! Let’s meet in town again, I’ll buy Vivian a lollipop, okay?”
Vivian followed Oswaldo in the research laboratory, there were no kids her age here, which made Vivian feel lonely every day.
Vivian was also very well–behaved. She never bothered Oswaldo during his work hours. Only at night, she was very clingy to him and Lizzie.
But Vivian, being a two–year–old child, was eager to go out and play, thrilled to hear about eating lollipops.
She opened her arms, waving in the air, her small body arching in Lizzie’s embrace, “Yay, yay!”
Although she was small, she was not light. With her arching body and Lizzie’s frail figure, she was too much to handle.
Oswaldo hurried to hug her, but Vivian saw her dad coming too, so she opened her arms and went to hug her dad’s neck.
They were pulling and tugging at each other, almost bumping into each other.
Vivian was sandwiched between them like a sandwich cookie. She got hurt from the collision, her little face scrunched up like a bun.
Vivian said she did it herself, she didn’t cry, she held the painful place with both hands and rubbed it hard, her already wrinkled little face looked even more twisted.
Lizzie was amused by his appearance, reaching out to rub the sore spot. where she was bumped. “Rubbing it will make it feel better.”
Vivian covered her face and said, “Vivian wants to sleep, then it won’t

hurt.”
Lizzie nodded and then blew on the spot Vivian was covering with her hand
“Does it still hurt?”
Vivian shook her head hard. Today she had two little buns in her hair, and they swayed from side to side as she shook her head, making her head look like a drum with waves.
“It doesn’t hurt! Let’s go for a walk and have some lollipops!”
Oswaldo took Vivian from Lizzie’s arms–and they left together.
The three of them disappeared at the door of the study room. Judith’s tense body suddenly relaxed, her eyes red.
Colleagues nearby saw the situation and came forward to comfort her.
“Judith, don’t be too sad. Oswaldo was so nice to her, it must be because Vivian likes her.”
The comforting words, to Judith, were like adding fuel to the fire.
Vivian didn’t like her, no matter how hard she tried to get close to her, Vivian just wouldn’t warm up to her.
If Vivian was like this with everyone, she could still accept it.
But Vivian was obviously different with Lizzie, especially close, which made her feel very uncomfortable!
She bit her lip, her eyes getting even redder.
Another researcher chimed in.
“Speaking of which, Lizzie is quite interesting. She seems to be just a

junior high school graduate. How did she get into our research institute?”
“I heard she was able to get in here all thanks to Oswaldo.”
There was someone who didn’t quite agree, “But Oswaldo said, the core technology solution of the lithography machine was provided by Lizzie”
When these words came out, there was a brief moment of silence in the
air.
Then came a deeper confusion, “She’s just a middle school student… How could she have such skills?”
Another voice with obvious doubt, “Oswaldo protecting her, and you believe what she says? How could she provide that kind of tightly guarded foreign technology? Did she dream up the method and then copy it?”
After hearing this sentence, everyone burst into laughter.
