Chapter31
(Day 19)
I still kept getting blurry eyes lately, and yes I did make an appointment with my doctor but I would have to wait for an entire month until I could see him. Which sucks but it’s what it is, so complaining won’t do anything to make the process more shorter.
Anyways here I was sitting on the stoolin my kitchen as I watched Loanne talk about the models on the cover of Vogue.
“Boo, you seem more like you are complaining about the more instead of sounding in love with them…” I said softly as I cut off Loanne.
“Oh… did I sound like that?” She asked. I nodded my head and smiled at her before looking back at the magazine. Then it hit me again. Everything was blurry. My heart began to race, I tried my very best to keep calm in front of Loanne but I knew that she would notice it right away. All I knew was that I really needed a distraction. I needed Loanne to get out of here for a bit while I freak.
Suddenly, as if God finally answered me, the doorbell rang. I could hear Loanne shuffle before her footsteps echoed against the floor.
Reaching up quickly, I began to rub my eyes. I didn’t stop at all, until I heard the door close, then I dropped it. Blinking my eyes repeatedly, I looked around and sighed mentally that I could finally
see again.
“Boo, you have a package!” Loanne said as she walked back in and handed me a huge brown box. I
looked at it then at her.
“Strange… I never ordered anything….” I said. Loanne shrugged as she chucked in a piece of
blueberry into her mouth. “I say just open it..”
I looked back down at the box and sighed before standing up and grabbing the huge kitchen knife.
As I slowly slide the knife through the tape that sealed it shut. I couldn’t help but wonder what was
is it. Did I order something that I completely forgot about, or did someone send this to me?
Finally, as I got all of the tape off from the box. I put the knife down… you know for safety. I slowly
lifted the flaps one by one. Slowly peering inside the box. I was surprised at what I saw. Reaching in, I grabbed it and lifted it out. Allowing the sunlight to hit it.
“What the hell….” Loanne muttered as she eyed it. I just nodded my head as I agreed to what she was thinking.
“It’s soooo adorable!” She screeched as she touched it. I looked at her before turning back to look at

that. For sure it was really adorable but… who sent it?
“Did you order this dress?” Loanne asked me, I shook my head.
“No… i didn’t. Well I don’t remember buying anything online….” I said sheepishly. Loanne laughed
and shook her head.
“I don’t blame you…” I nodded my head and looked at it before placing it back into the box. “What are you doing? Why are you putting it back into the box and not hanging it in your closet?” Demanded Loanne.
I looked at her. “Well, I don’t know about this. I probably will keep it in this box and hopefully check my account to see if I did order something online. If I did, then I will take it out and put it in my closet. If not, and someone sent it to me or it was given to the wrong person, I will try to give it back
to them.” I stated to her.
Loanne nodded her head in understandment her face with realization of why I put it back into the
box. “But if you can’t find the true owner… can I have it?” She asked me.
I laughed and nodded my head. “Of course you can.” I said before grabbing the box and putting it
underneath the cabinet in the kitchen.
I yawned and stretched as i sat up from the little nap that I had. Blinking my eyes repeatedly, as I try to come up with my surroundings, the house phone began to ring. I turned my head and looked at
the phone for a bit. Somehow I felt like I should not answer it, and so here I was. Simply just sitting patiently waiting for the phone to end.
Then it did, but it began ringing again. I jumped off from the couch and made my way to the phone,
as my hand reached to pick it up, it just hovered. Not wanting to move. I pushed through that and
answered the call.
“Hello?” I said softly, the clear sign that sleep was still in my system.
“Hello? Is this Ms. Vital?” The voice asked, but was still held a bit of static.
“Yes… This is Ms. Vital. Who is this?” I asked in suspicion.
“This is from the hospital, I am calling to inform you that your doctor is not going to be in during your appointment time, and so I would like to know if you would still continue if your appointment or move it to the following month?” The voice asked kindly.
He was going to not be there? Great… this is so great! Note my sarcasm. “Of course, I don’t mind if ‘you move my appointment to another time..” I said.

“Great! So your appontment will be june 4 at 3pm. Is that okay?”
“Yes.. it is thank you!” I said and then we both ended the call. I stared at the phone and sighed. I knew it was going to be a bad call.
I was eating alone tonight. Loanne had a hot date with some lawyer, so she left me alone… just kidding. i am glad that she is going out there. These past few days she has been taking care of me and not leaving me alone.
I pushed my food around the plate and sighed as I couldn’t eat anymore. Standing up, I picked up my half filled plate and brought to the the sink. As I threw the rest of the food into the garbage, I felt a sudden sharp pain shoot through my head.
Hissing in pain, I let the plate go and it shattered on the floor. I clutched my head and leaned forward as I tried to make my sense come back. I kept counting 1,2,3 until my pain was over. But instead of it going away like I had hoped. It kept escalating. Then what felt like forever, my pain
ended and I was sweating bullets.
Panting, I shakily let my arms drop. Slowly leaning upwards again, I looked around my kitchen and then at the ground. I just stared at the shattered plate, my mind felt numb just like my entire body.
Something was wrong…
I laid in bed with my eyes wide open. I didn’t dare sleep as I was scared that the pain might attack me again. As the seconds tick by, I could not help but wonder if this was how Issac had to go through. But I knew that if he did go through this pain like I did, he was much stronger than me. He was being strong, not only for me but for Loanne, and himself.
If Issac saw me right now, he would be saying that this was not really me. I was not a weak girl. I was a strong, independent girl that could get anything done in a day.
Did I want him to think of me like that wherever he is right now? No… I don’t. I want to make him proud that I am getting by this with strength and determination.
I finally found my strength, and it took me to realize that all along, Issac had showned me them. Even after death, he still can affect me in a good way. That brought a slight and soft smile to my
face.
Closing my eyes, and relaxing my tense muscles, I slowly drifted off but with the thought that this ‘new kind of pain can’t control me…
