Ana wanted to ask why Cassian wouldn’t take this opportunity to explain, but she didn’t voice the question.

Just then, the park manager said to Cassian, “Mr. Rhodes, someone has rented out the entire park tonight. They said only lady named Anastasia is allowed in.”

“Oh no, that’s not necessary. The boss’s friends wouldn’t lie,” the manager said quickly.
It was really strange–after buying this place, the boss had only asked them to keep the haunted house and upgrade everything else as they saw fit.
You’d think the boss would value this project, but he’d never shown up again after the purchase.
The manager had thought the place had been abandoned, and all the employees were just going through the motions, figuring as long as they got paid, that was enough. They were just worried about another closure forcing them to look for new jobs.
But now…
The boss had finally come!
The manager excitedly decided he had to spread this news to everyone!
Cassian and Ana walked hand–in–hand to the haunted house entrance. Ana suddenly seemed to think of something and turned to Cassian. “Are you scared?”
“What about you? Are you scared?” Cassian asked back.
Ana shook her head. “I’m not scared.“/
Cassian’s lips curved into a smile as an image flashed through his mind–a brave face, completely expressionless, that overlapped perfectly with Ana’s face now.
“Then let’s go.”

They entered together. The place was exactly the same as before, with identical decorations, except now they spared no expense–the AC was cranked way down, fans created wind effects, and combined with dim lighting and eerie music, it was genuinely creepy.
Ana walked calmly through it all, as if she were strolling through a grocery store.
Suddenly, Ana stopped and said to Cassian, “In a second, a bloody head is going to drop down here.”
The moment she finished speaking, a bloody head indeed dropped down, incredibly realistic with moving eyes and mouth.
Anyone with a weak heart would probably have been terrified by this point.
But Ana remained completely composed, and Cassian was equally expressionless.
Ana looked at Cassian, and for some reason, he suddenly seemed familiar.
“You…”
Cassian looked at Ana with what seemed like anticipation, as if waiting for her to say something.
But Ana shook her head, thinking it was impossible. If she’d met Cassian before, he was so gorgeous and striking that there was no way she could have forgotten him. She must be mistaken.
“Let’s keep going,” Ana said.
They continued through the haunted house, encountering various monsters and ghosts along the way. Both Ana and Cassian remained completely calm. As they neared the end, they still hadn’t seen Jasper.
Ana wondered if she’d gotten it wrong–maybe Jasper hadn’t meant this place?
Just then, hearing footsteps, Jasper instinctively looked toward the sound.
Seeing someone approaching, he immediately rushed out from his hiding spot. “Ana!”
But when he saw it was Cassian, he froze completely, his face looking like he’d eaten something disgusting.
“Why is it you?” Jasper’s eyes darkened as he spoke coldly.
“Looks like you’re not busy enough lately if you have time to covet my wife,” Cassian said.
At this point, Jasper understood exactly what had happened.
“You’re so despicable! Using Ana’s phone to text me!” Jasper said through gritted teeth.
Cassian looked at Jasper, thinking about these trivial matters even now. He really was incredibly stupid.
No wonder his company had been having problems ever since Ana left. Maybe without Ana, they never would have succeeded in the first place.
When Cassian had first noticed that small company gradually growing stronger and even competing with Rhodes Global’s design department, he’d been quite impressed.

Jasper swung back, refusing to believe that his taekwondo black belt couldn’t beat Cassian.
At first, Jasper could hold his own against Cassian for a few moves, but gradually he started struggling.
Though Jasper’s attacks were fast, Cassian had superior overall strength, speed, and defense.
Jasper had given his all from the start, so by the end his stamina was completely drained and he could only lie on the ground, beaten and breathless.
What infuriated him most was that Cassian stood nearby completely unscathed.
Just then, Ana emerged from the shadows. “Are you okay?”
Jasper looked at Ana excitedly, thinking, Great! Ana still cares about me!
But he quickly realized he was wrong–Ana was walking toward Cassian!
Ana looked Cassian over, then focused on his hands. She lifted his hand and said with concern, “You hit him so hard–your hand is all red. Does it hurt?”
Action and reaction were equal and opposite–if Cassian had hurt Jasper that badly, Cassian must be hurting too.
Ana didn’t even glance at Jasper; all her attention was on Cassian.
Cassian loved Ana’s reaction–it satisfied his ego completely.
