I was pleased to see the comments of like–minded people, who were also fed up with his drama.
“We have been watching this video for over two hours, and still no development. Is Mr. Felix insane?”
“I hope he dies soon!”
But as I scrolled down, the netizens hailing him as a hopeless romantic hero set me on fire.
“Mr. Felix is a true lover!
Why isn’t Drielle coming?
She is so cruel!”
The police only reached out to me when the suicide performance escalated, disrupting the law and order situation. I had no choice, but to go, and save that lunatic.
The police officers were waiting outside my home when we reached. They only let me put Jane to bed and then drove us to Felix’s office.
The crowd of media, security, and officers breathed out a sigh of relief to see me, the two officers started banging the door at once.
“Mr. Felix, Ma’am Drielle is here!
Please open the door.”
After a heart stopping moment, the door was slightly opened. An involuntary scream escaped my mouth as a whirlwind of sheer force jerked me inside forcefully….

That pitiful yelp belonged to Felix, who jumped at me like a lost puppy in a carnival, squishing me into his strong
arms.

“Finally, you are here, Drielle. I was dying to see you.”
This sudden assault numbed my body, I couldn’t move an inch in his iron hold. Only the loud thump of the door followed by Bright’s voice resumed the proper functioning of my brain.
He tried to free me from Felix’s monstrous arm cage.
“Leave her, Felix!
Are you nuts?”
As a strong aerospace professional, Bright countered Felix’s powerful blow as he refused to let me go, his punch glanced at that mad man’s face. Although that retaliation was nothing before Felix’s engineering stamina, it gave me
a moment to react.
I moved quickly and jabbed my knee on his grin.
“Ahh!”
Felix’s hold loosened as he bent, crying out in pain. I scurried away from him to safety.
Bloody hell!
It all happened so quickly that I couldn’t remember how and when I walked inside. Thankfully, Bright was able to get a hold of the situation.
“What’s this nonsense, Felix?
You barely opened the door and pulled Drielle in, it was so difficult for me to come inside.
Why are you doing this?”
Felix took long strides and appeared before me, he grabbed my shoulders firmly.
“Drielle, please listen to me. We need to talk.”
Disregarding Bright’s query, he asked me, “Why are you so late? Do you really want me to die?
What took you so long to come to me?”
His love–struck tone baffled me, he was behaving like we were in a relationship of some sort. Felix’s question led to his confessions of undying love for me, reminiscing about the stories of the past, the time when I was foolishly in
love with him.
“I knew that you would come, Drielle. You care for me. You always do!
Remember our senior years‘ Christmas party at MIT?
You stayed up all night to make sure that I remained warm…”

“Yeah, that party!
When you got drunk and ruined my Christmas selfishly.” My mouth turned sour as I spat out, venting out my
resentment.
The sight of Felix so close to me almost made me throw up, so I averted my face to look at Bright. However, my gaze
fell on a strange happening.
The live stream!
The cameras were still on, broadcasting our conversation to the entire Boston. It didn’t take me a moment to understand Felix’s ploy: He staged his death and called me here in the hope of meeting me and salvaging his public image by mentioning our past love.
A few days in prison, and again, he came up with a plan to use me as a weapon. This attempt had exposed his objectives and how desperate he was to get everything back.
So, first thing first, I glared hard at him, my low voice was laced with threat.
“Put your hands away, or I will hit you so hard in your special PP area that no plastic surgeon in this world will be able to repair the damage.”
My simple yet effective threat worked like magic, Felix was horrified by my daring after enduring the first kick. He stepped away and stood at a proper distance, looking at me fearfully.
I stormed towards the cameras and clicked the ‘disconnect‘ sign.
