After Henry and I carefully set up an intricate trap for Felix, I prayed for our success. This was a golden chance for us to defeat that master of deception. He did everything in his power to appear trustworthy, only to turn the tables on us, leaving him free for a moment was getting dangerous.
In the game of power and greed, my two knights had my back, so I was at peace, Bright had promised to attend the auction, although he had a meeting that day. He took this auction as our previous missed date and texted,

The elegant gown delivered by his assistant touched my heart, the mermaid style long white gown with net bodice was eye–pleasing. I was picky in my wardrobe selection, but Bright picked a dress according to my taste, so I had no objection to wearing it for him.
Dressed in that white gown, I went to attend the auction with my pulse drumming in my ears, blocking all other sounds. My palms were sweaty due to nervousness. I thanked Bright’s for his favor and headed towards the auction hall, it was about time for the ceremony’s commencement. Our table was reserved, so we sat together. I looked around and found myself surrounded by the sharks of the business community.
According to the plan, Henry was supposed to show up in the auction hall at the same time as us.
But the main question was: Where was he?
All the guests were seated, having drinks and all, but my brother was nowhere to be found. I only saw his assistant standing beside the table with his name, even though my dad didn’t come to represent the Marlowe family.
