Chapter 225
After thinking it over, Kelly called Lennox.
Lennox had just settled into bed, ready to finally get some sleep, when his phone jolted him awake again.
Lennox thought to himself, ‘If it were the boss calling, fine. But of course, it had to be his little sister, that high–maintenance diva!
Lennox took a deep breath to compose himself, then promptly answered the call. “Miss Walker,”
Kelly yelled, frantic with anger, “Lennox, check the surveillance for my brother’s presidential suite right now! That bitch Sydney Skinner sneaked into Aiden’s room! Find out when she got in and what the hell she did. Goddamn it, I’m so pissed!”
Even through the phone, Lennox could feel Kelly’s volcanic rage. He quickly pieced together the situation from her words, his expression turning grave. “Understood,” he replied curtly.
Lennox kept it short and fast.
With that, he hung up.
At this moment, Kelly couldn’t shake off those revolting scenes she’d just witnessed. They kept replaying in her mind. The more she thought about it, the
more nauseated she felt.
After calling for room service, Kelly stormed into the only untouched room among the three.
Without hesitation, Sydney marched straight back to the room she’d just left.
Sydney thought bitterly, ‘Of course, Aiden isn’t here. He probably just doesn’t want to take responsibility for me, so he sent that airhead Kelly instead, right?
‘It’s fine. I’ve got plenty of ways to make him own up to it!‘
Aiden and Valerie remained blissfully unaware of the chaos unfolding back at the hotel.
When they awoke, daylight was streaming brightly through the windows.
Valerie woke up to Aiden’s kiss.
Seeing his sweetheart wake up, Aiden chuckled softly and teased, “Guess what? It’s my birthday today.”
Valerie felt speechless.
Aiden paused briefly, then gave her another quick peck on the cheek before shifting gears. “So, where’s my present? The one you bought me, disappear to?”
where’d it
It suddenly dawned on Valerie that she couldn’t remember where Aiden’s gift had gone. ‘Did I leave it at that street stall last night?‘ she wondered
anxiously.
Seeing her reaction, Aiden’s lips tightened. He gripped her chin firmly, his voice low and tense. “Don’t tell me you gave it to that guy?”
Valerie shot him an annoyed glare, clearly not in the mood to deal with him. She turned to leave, but Aiden swiftly pulled her back.
Aiden’s expression darkened slightly. “So, did I guess right?”
Valerie snapped, “Leave me alone!”

Chapter 225
Aiden sneered, “Too lazy to deal with me, or just too scared? So now, because of him, you don’t want me anymore?”
Valerie, provoked once again, shouted angrily, “Stop being so filthy–minded, Aident You disgust me, that’s why I don’t want you. Happy now?
Aiden held her firmly, trying to calm her down before saying, “That woman was in cahoots with my assistant. I had no idea when she shoved up. Batry, i never lie to you.”
Valerie’s heart wavered just a little.
“I’ll pull up the surveillance footage for you. Come on, let’s do it right now,” Aiden said urgently, “When I walked in and saw that trash, I turned around and left immediately. Then Kelly called me, and that’s how I knew you were here… Please, trust me, I swear.”
Valerie felt even more wronged, tears streaming down her face as she struggled to keep her composure. “So what if I believe you? You don’t even trust me…” she choked out, her voice trembling with hurt.
Aiden’s heart melted at her tears. Gently wiping them away, he murmured, “I believe you. Don’t cry.”
Valerie’s tears streamed down uncontrollably. She shoved him away fiercely, swung off the bed, and started dressing herself, refusing any help.
Aiden clung to her persistently and, after much coaxing, finally managed to calm her down enough to get her back into bed.
Valerie was truly exhausted. She’d barely slept five hours. Closing her eyes, she turned her back to him, shutting him out completely.
Aiden was burning with desire, but could only rub his forehead in frustration.
Aiden thought furiously, ‘My birthday surprise is down the drain. It’s all because of that woman!‘
A dangerous glint flashed in Aiden’s eyes, but he quickly reined it in. This project was far too important to risk losing control now.
This project was crucial to the Walker family’s further development and consolidation of their position in Westerland. There was absolutely no room for
error.
Aiden thought coldly, ‘Once this project is finished… It’s high time that woman faces the consequences.‘
Accessing the hotel’s surveillance footage wasn’t exactly difficult for Lennox, but it wasn’t a walk in the park either, especially since he was working from
another country.
It took three hours before Lennox finally got his hands on the surveillance footage. The moment he did, he received an order from the boss and, while at it, forwarded a copy to Aiden as well.
Without even glancing at the footage, Aiden handed it straight to Valerie.
