As Martin arrived at Quinlan Group, everyone was just starting to clock in. As they moved
about, all of them stole glances at a certain spot in the office.
Alessa was disheveled and exhausted. She hadn’t gotten any sleep last night with the bodyguards forcing her to kneel on the floor. She couldn’t hold on anymore and was on the brink of collapsing, but she couldn’t stand the way people looked at her.
She used to be at the top of the world, yet she was so utterly and publicly humiliated right
now. If she could kill Jasmine, she would’ve done it in a heartbeat.
Alessa screamed hysterically, “Jasmine is such a bitch! She deserves a horrible death. How dare she seduce Martin? What a freaking bitch!”
She shouted ceaselessly, and everyone heard her harsh, cutting remarks. But things were different now. She had fallen from grace, her authority stripped. Now, her actions invited
nothing but scornful glances.
Some of the staff who were quite close to Jasmine started retorting to Alessa.
“How could you say that about Ms. Scully? She had been here for four years, and a day hadn’t gone by when she wasn’t devoted to her work.
“She never made a mistake, either. You were the one who picked on her the moment you set foot into the company.”
“Exactly. Ms. Scully had done nothing wrong. Ms. Shaughnessy, you’ve gone too far. She has left the company, and yet you’re still attacking her.”
“You were the one who kept crossing Ms. Scully, but you kept slandering her. If you ask me,
you’re the bitch in this story.”
The staff around Alessa muttered among themselves and pointed at her as if she were a lunatic. She was infuriated and wanted to slap all of them once, but the bodyguards had her firmly on her knees. She could do nothing but scream.
“You’re all bitches! What do you get from defending her? Did she promise to sleep with you all or something?” Alessa had completely lost it, blurting whatever came to mind, drawing frowns from the staff around her.
At that moment, Martin was already standing in the office, listening to every word she said. His expression grew even colder as seconds passed by.
At first, he wanted Alessa to kneel in the company because he wanted her to recognize her mistake. To his surprise, she was so stubborn that she pinned all the blame on Jasmine.

As Martin stormed over, the staff tactfully gave way to him, and even the bodyguards loosened their grip.
The moment Alessa regained freedom of her limbs, she immediately crawled over to him and held onto his thigh. Then, she burst into tears, her expression that of resentment.
“Martin, you have to help me! Look at all of them. They’re all Jasmine’s lapdogs, and they were mean to me. I want you to fire every last one of them!”

She cried as she turned around and viciously stuck a finger at the staff who talked back to her. ” It’s the lady over there and the one next to her. Also, he defended Jasmine as well. They are all bastards!”
Alessa was enraged, and the staff she pointed at lowered their heads, not daring to say another
word.
However, Martin didn’t stick up for her like she thought he would. Instead, he raised his foot and kicked her away.
“You’re supposed to reflect on your mistakes, but instead, what have you done? Alessa, you a nobody right now. How dare you slander them! I have never known just how wicked you
are.

Alessa fell to the floor, her eyes glistening with tears. “You’re supposed to love me. Martin, I’m the one you love!”
He towered over her and glared at her coldly. “I love Jasmine, not you.”
What he said shocked everyone in the office, but it felt good to him. It might’ve taken four years, but he was finally willing to say it out loud.
Martin curled his lips. He ignored Alessa’s reaction and repeated once more, “I love Jasmine, not you. My feelings for you were long gone. It was a mistake for us to be together for the past
month.
“I’ll find Jasmine and get her back to my side. Alessa, it’s time you leave.”
Alessa’s eyes widened with utter disbelief, but all she could do was laugh as tears slid freely down her cheeks.
“Leave? Martin, you wanna know something? Jasmine didn’t leave because of me. No, it’s you. She left because of you!
“Do you honestly think I’m not aware of everything you two did in secret? You slept with her for four years, yet you never made things official with her. The moment I returned to
