When Griffin was about to head downstairs, Cassian stood up too.
Griffin immediately knew what Cassian was planning, but he still played dumb. “Oh, Cassian, got somewhere to be?”
“Thought I’d join you for this meeting. Make sure the design department’s pulling their weight,” Cassian said casually.
Griffin almost burst out laughing.
This guy could look serious as a heart attack, but Griffin knew exactly what was really going on.
“Come on, man. You’ve got a whole empire to run. You really need to micromanage a department meeting?” Griffin teased.
Cassian shot him a flat look. “Mind your own business.”
Griffin’s smirk twitched. He could tell Cassian was getting annoyed. Push any further and he’d probably get his ass kicked out.
“Alright, alright. What a dedicated boss, looking out for his employees.”
With that, Griffin made a strategic retreat, practically speed–walking toward the elevator.
Soon enough, Cassian and Griffin arrived at the design department.
Everyone looked completely shell–shocked to see their CEO show up.
Only Griffin knew the real reason–Cassian was totally mixing business with pleasure.
Sure enough, Cassian’s eyes swept across the room and landed directly on Anastasia in the crowd.
