Chapter 322
“Why do we start to capture people at this point?” Magnus was confused. Markus’s Royal Guard hasn’t even arrived yet. Shouldn’t we wait for them before taking action?‘ he thought.
“If 200–plus people are inside, our mere 20–plus people don’t stand a chance,” Magnus said grimly. ‘Unless we kill all of them he thought.
“I’m not asking Markus and his people to be here for a full–scale encirclement,” Jessica said. ‘The cave is full of explosives, and encirclement would mean death,‘ she thought.
“No questions for now. Just capture them first. That young man…”
“Miss Yates, my name is Xander Harris,” the young man quickly said softly.
“Okay, Xander. When Markus’s people arrive, tell Markus not to move without my signal. Magnus, bring 10 people and follow me.”
Jessica took the lead to set off, making her way across the steep cliffside. Her agility technique was awe–inspiring.
Magnus turned around and said to the man behind him, “Pick nine people with the best agility technique.”
The man behind him was the leader of the Eagle Troops, Ray Liotta. His eyes reflected Jessica’s graceful figure as she glided effortlessly across the cliffside. ‘Her agility technique is dazzling.
‘I must be careful in choosing people. Anyone with a weaker agility technique won’t be able to catch up,‘ he thought.
They waited for Jessica to take cover near the cave. Within moments, Magnus, Ray, and the nine people were all in position.
Jessica turned around and glanced at Magnus, signaling to him. Magnus shook his head nervously, his heart pounding. ‘I must stay with her, he thought. ‘Otherwise, if anything happens to her, His Highness will kill me.’
Jessica had no choice and signalled Ray, who nodded and remained in position with five men. She, Magnus, and the other four men carefully edged along the cliffside, skirting above the cave to reach the other side.
The capture operation commenced immediately. Whoever emerged was captured. Jessica, Magnus, and Ray personally took each down before handing them over to their teammates.
They knocked them out, stripped their clothes, bound them, sealed their pressure points, and gagged them. In short, they used every trick to ensure complete silence.
A dozen or so people changed into black robes and put on masks, then slipped into the cave in batches. Using the method Jessica had taught them, they lured the black–robed men out one by one and captured them.
Two hours or so had passed, and one after another, they had captured dozens of people.
After tying them up, Markus’s people began arriving in batches. The black robes stripped from the captives were tossed for them to use. Only then did everyone grasp Jessica’s ingenious strategy.
There were explosives inside. One wrong move and the entire cave could blow up. When that happened, no one inside, friend or foe, would make it out
alive.
They had no way to take down all the bandits at once. In the event a mere person who could detonate the explosives escaped, he could take everyone down with him.
Jessica could not risk her people’s safety, so she had to infiltrate the team in small batches. Through this back–and–forth operation, they managed to infiltrate over a hundred Royal Guards undetected.
Although all were wearing identical black robes and masks, Jessica had her people tie a small knot at the hems of their robes. Anyone who spotted the knots would instantly know they were allies.

“Ms. Yates, I’ve checked everywhere but didn’t see His Highness. There were no signs of struggles, and everyone inside was just busy as usual – 169. said. He was the first to go in and search, and was anxious when he returned.
Jessica’s brows furrowed tightly. ‘Everything appears normal means no one has discovered Leon. Where on earth has he gone?” she wondered.
